1 Year Pictures - Round 2

I wanted some more one year old pictures taken of Jack - but this time in the outdoors. At 13.5 months old we finally got around to having them taken. My sister Hannah offered up her photography skills and we set out for some cute outdoor pictures! I love how they turned out!

Pajama Days

Some days are just pajama days. There is something sweet about getting to stay home and have calm snuggly days at home. It will only be a season of life when my baby will be this age, wearing footie pajamas, toddling around, exploring every little square inch of the house. I love it! Looking out the window
Eating a snack

Playing under the table with Java

What Java is really trying to do is eat Jack's snacks

He is making an odd face in this picture, but I love seeing those big blue eyes. Precious!

Valentines 2012

Jack's 2nd Valentines Day - 13 months oldSo happy! Jack was actually sick this Valentines Day but he was still was as sweet as could be.

My little valentine and I

On the night before valentines day we got this heart shaped pizza. Yum!

For Valentines day Jack got this froggy balloon. His favorite part was chewing on the string.

Barrett and Jack with their treats...balloon and candy bouquet (just seconds before Jack grabbed hold of the candy bouquet sending it flying to the floor.)

The love of my life, my husband, my best friend, my Valentine.

Valentines night we had signed up to go to a "Sweets and Serenades" program at church. They offered childcare, a couple hours to go out to dinner, then a time back at church for cupcakes, a chocolate fountain, and a 60's music show. I had been so excited about a dinner out with my husband and without the kiddo for weeks. When Jack ended up being sick that day I thought we may have to miss out on going but amazingly my parents offered to come watch him for the evening so we could go out. It was magnificent!!! Barrett and I went to the cheesecake factory (by ourselves with no baby!) then enjoyed the program afterwards. It was so refreshing to get out!

Our Little Football

On Superbowl Sunday Jack wore this football shirt that I made him. Our little football
I love that smile...

...and that hair!

Walking

Our little Jack is walking! He took his first steps about a week after his 1st birthday. Then he decided he wasn't quite ready to walk and held off actually walking for a little bit longer. He was super cautious, not wanting to let go of the couch, coffee table, or whatever he was walking next to. Then right about 13 months old, he started taking the risk and letting go.And he's off!Blurry pictures, but its hard taking pictures of a moving walking boy.Walking at the mall...I was nervous the whole time, afraid he would fall and bust his lip while out and about. He looks like such a big boy!
Everything is still going into his mouth.

Jack's new favorite thing...walking around the house holding onto the balloon ribbon.

Since Jack walks does that mean he is no longer considered a baby and is officially a toddler? :-(

I'm Back

I'm back...for today at least! What a month it has been! It seems that someone in this house has been sick at some point over the last few weeks. Since the beginning of this year Jack has had 4 ear infections. If he gets one more within the next month or so we will have to go see a special doctor...for tubes I guess. And of course along with ear infections come the fever and runny nose. Then aside from that he had a bad cough, pink eye, and got 2 teeth (molars) in. Jack has also begun walking (a post on that coming up.) He has gotten really good with his walking, but there in the beginning he kept falling down and hitting his mouth on the tile floor. 4 times this happened - he would fall, bust his lip open, and 3 out of the 4 times he chipped his front teeth. Such excitement around here. So with all this fun going on and a busy baby (or should I say toddler) that is getting into everything, the blog has had to hold off. I'm hoping that sometime soon we will be able to get a laptop computer, then I will be able to blog in the playroom while Jack plays. At this point if I bring him in the office with me he ends up pulling all the books off the book shelf, or tries to untangle all the cords and plugs under the computer desk...so I don't actually get much done with him in here with me. Then nap time is such a precious time to get chores done around the house....or just to sit and have a moment of silence. Anyways, that is just this season of life right now, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!
