8 Months Old

Little Jack is 8 Months Old...as of August 26th. He is still just as cute as can be!

We wears sizes 6 months, 9 months, and 12 month s(although they are a little big right now.) He is still in size 2 diapers.

Jacks eyes are big and blue! Jack is still being a very picky eater! His favorite thing to eat (or should I say drink) is milk. He nurses about every 3-4 hours. When he is given a bottle, he drinks 5-6 ounces. Recently he has been picky about who gives him a bottle though. He loves for mommy to give him his bottle, but he will take it from Daddy as long as mommy is not around. If he is in the nursery at church - forget it! He doesn't want any of the nice teachers there feeding him.
We continue to try feeding him baby food. He is getting a little better with it. He may eat up to about 1 tablespoon at a time now! WooHoo! That is as long as he is in the mood for whatever flavor you are feeding him at that very moment. His favorites flavors this past month were "Blueberry Apple" and "Apple, Strawberry, Banana." He is liking the berries. This past month I went ahead and just bought him his pre-made baby food (instead of making it on my own) since it takes him about 4 days to eat a whole jar of food and often times I am still throwing away some leftovers from that jar because he couldn't eat it all.

Jack has been making these silly faces this month. Still thinking he is trying to figure out what these 2 hard white things are that are poking him from the top of his mouth.

Check out the hair on my little princes head!

It's one of those cute little baby curls you normally only see in hand drawn pictures of little babies. He continues to get more and more light brown hair. It's at the point to where it gets all fluffy if you don't brush it down before it dries. He is also getting many comments about how his hair is getting a reddish tint to it now. How fun!

After busy days of playing, smiling, and just being a sweet baby boy, Jack loves to get his rest. He is still on no set napping schedule, but normally he will take a morning nap (1-2 hours) and an afternoon nap (about 2 hours) and occasionally a short evening nap (1 hour). He goes to bed around 9 or 10pm and sleeps until 6 or 7 am. He goes to sleep so easily. Just lay him down, he rolls over onto his tummy, and is fast asleep within just a few minutes.

We are in love with our baby boy!
