4 Months Old

Our baby, Jack Ryan in now 4 months old. That is 1/3 of a year! How can this be??? He is such a sweetie pie and we love him more and more everyday!!!! We went to his 4 month check-up today and he is still as healthy as can be!

Baby Stats

Weight: 13 lbs. 2 oz. = 15th percentile - little guy - Mommy loves that he is still so small!

Length: 24 1/3 inches = 26th percentile

Diaper Size: Just moved up to a size 2 this week

Clothes Size: mostly 3-6 months but can still fit in some of his 0-3 and some new 6-9.

Sleeping: He goes 8-11 hours straight during the night starting between 9 and 10:30pm and takes about 4 naps during the day lasting anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 1/2 hours long. A little unpredictable :-)

Eating: Nurses on demand - approx. every 3 hours for around 10-15 minutes

Favorite Toys: Jack loves his play mat- he enjoys playing with the toys hanging overhead and listening to the music that it makes. He also is enjoying the exersaucer because he can stand in it.

New Discoveries: His voice! He is becoming louder and making noise just because he can. He is more vocal about what he does and doesn't want. He grins and laughs a lot too.

Accomplishments: Jack is a strong boy. He loves to stand up with his strong legs (while someone is holding him up of course) and looks around at all that is going on around him.

Jack's 1st Easter

"He isn't here! He is risen from the dead, just as He said would happen....." Matthew 28:6

Happy Easter! We woke up early Easter morning to head off to church to sing for the 8am and 9:30 service. Jack got all dressed up in his tie to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus! Our first Easter as a family of 3!

All ready for an egg hunt!

"Look at all my Easter eggs!"

He just couldn't take his eyes off those eggs.

Our little Easter bunny

Last week I took Jack to an egg hunt in the neighborhood. He wore his "chicks dig me" shirt while egg hunting.

My 1st Birthday as a Mommy

I had my very 1st birthday as a mommy this week! Well last years birthday Jack was super little in my tummy - I didn't even know he was there yet, so I count this as my first mommy birthday. :-) The morning started with a big pile of presents on our bed from Barrett and Jack! I got gift cards to go clothes shopping, sewing stuff, a magic bullet (so I can attempt to make baby food for Jack in the next few months), and some other fun stuff too! We went out for an omelet and pancake breakfast, went shopping, and just had a fun day! Barrett got me flowers for our flower baskets on the balcony.

This past year has been awesome - I became a Mommy!!!!!! Could it get any better???

Our Little Tax Deduction

When I was pregnant with Jack and people found out that his due date was January 6th, many peoples first response was, "Try to have him before the new year so you can get your tax deduction!" Not sure what I was suppose to do to 'try' and have him before the new year besides having a scheduled c-section which we were not even considering. But lucky for us, Jack DID decide to arrive early on his own on December 26th - before the new year! My guess is that he is going to be in finance just like his Daddy - this was his first attempt in helping balance our budget. Ha! Jack was thinking ahead and wanted to make sure he could do his part in helping to pay for all those hospital bills from his arrival.

So...... ....since Jack was born in 2010..... ......we got our tax deduction! Thanks for thinking ahead, Jack!

Jack's 1st Baseball Game

We took Jack (along with Pepa and Aunt Hannah) to his first baseball game to see the Frisco Rough Riders. I'm not sure he had too much of an idea what was going on, but it was fun to take him. "Watching" the game! Our Family

A hungry squirrel
Jack did so well sitting in the shade in the stroller. Poor little guy kept getting water poured on his head throughout the day. I didn't want him to get too hot.

Fun in the sun
Feeling the soft, soft grass on his feet.
Enjoying all of Gods Creation!
